For over three centuries, a liberal Christian light has shone in Chester. Founded in 1700, the congregation once known as Matthew Henry’s Chapel stood as a place of dissent, conscience, and thoughtful faith. Though the building has passed into history, its spirit endures.

Today we gather as a circle of light in the heart of the city — meeting midweek for prayer, reflection, silence and song. We welcome questioning minds, searching hearts, and all who seek a faith spacious enough for doubt and deep enough for hope.
