There are some days in the religious calendar that ask us not to rush.

Good Friday is one of them.

It is not a day of easy answers, nor of triumph. It is a day that invites us to pause, to notice, and to sit with something difficult: the reality of suffering, injustice, and loss.

At the heart of the Good Friday story is a human life brought to its end by fear, power, and misunderstanding. Jesus of Nazareth, a human being like us, yet profoundly inspired by the spirit of God, lived a life shaped by compassion, radical inclusion, and love without boundary. And still, he is met not with recognition, but with rejection.

And yet, what has endured is not the violence of that moment, but the spirit in which he lived.
